Hi Adam,

Love the work you have done on both the tractor and now the deck. The deck you redid is just like mine and it suffers from the same rot on the discharge end as yours. I assume that you mig welded the replacement pieces in? Is the deck 1/8" steel? I haven't taken the time to inspect mine that closely yet; and I assume the gauge wheel brackets are 1/4"? I haven't graduated to the likes of a Mig welder yet, have the old tried and true method oxy/acetylene. One final thing it appears that you welded the other end of the deck solid is this correct?

Everything is MIG welded. The deck is 1/8" thick steel and the gauge wheel brackets are 1/4" thick. I welded the end cap on the left side to hold it on better and to fill in the gaps between the deck and the cap.

Very Nice job on both the tractor and deck. You sir are an inspiration. I love that tractor. The fact that it is a worker makes me like it even more.

Thanks! It's not much of a worker yet. The only work it's done so far is pulling the lawn sweeper last fall picking up leaves.

I agree keeps me motivated to get my ol girl back in shape! I do have a question though how big are those gauge wheels that you used?

I like the idea of the front wheels too very nice!!!!! Should have a pattern for those very nice job!
