That's for a NF. I can't see the back of the blade itself, but it appears to be all there except for the lift rod.

And you need a lift bracket as well. Thanks, John

Why is it a narrow frame? Sorry, I don't mean to question anyone's authority or anything, but I just bought a plow at an auction, and I'm having trouble making it fit.

I have a 128, and I believe that is a wide frame.

I'm just not sure whether or not the plow I bought is made for a wide frame or not.

Any help, instructions, how-to's would be helpful.

I'm kind of a newbie with my cub cadet, but I'm guessing by now most people who are reading this post already know that

Hi Bruce Whitt, welcome

The blades and the "A" shaped portion of the assembly are all the same, it's the sub-frame that is different. The Narrow Frame sub-frame has straight "arms" going back to the footrest bar and the Wide Frame sub-frames have curved ones. There are pictures here somewhere... Yes, your 128 is a Wide Frame tractor.

Bruce,

To add to what Yosemite Sam said:

The pins on a narrow frame undercarriage face inwards and the pins on a wideframe undercarriage face outwards.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
