I got the cylinder changed out yesterday. Simple and straight-forward. I did fill the new cylinder before installing. Once it was together, I started the engine and cycled the steering a few times. Then I took it for a short test drive. It worked right away.

I'll do the 1864 next. I need to do one more mowing before the grass gives up.

I found this guy when my former 2182 needed a new cylinder. Way better deal than anywhere else.

I replaced the Heim joints recently.
Steer it a few times, it'll bleed itself.

You guys have inspired me, I need to clean the carb on my 1862 so that I can blow snow with it this winter. Never going back to a manual steer tractor with a snow blower

I just skipped it all together last year! Ran great in the spring, floods in the fall. Will fun for a min or so with the fuel pump unhooked, so I think the float is probably stuck.
