Thanks for the compliments. Ill get some engine picks after the blower goes on. Stock hp is 435 supercharger will get it up to 700hp. I looked at the GT350 but a lot of money with very few amenities. Too fat for Recaro seats. I wanted all the goodies, heated and cooled seats, nav, air ect... and this car will be faster than the shelby.

I am amazed at the OEM hp and speed they are getting now-a-days and at what.......25+ mpg if you do not drive it hard????

I'm not sure I'm ever going see 25+mpg after the break in period and the supercharger. The 99 gets about 8 mpg you can watch the needle go down as you drive from station to station. This break in period is killing me nothing over 4 grand for first 1000 miles + it has rained every day but one since I got it. Several local Camaros thought they blew my doors in at a light because I had to baby the car right now, but the day of reckoning will soon be upon us.

There will be quite a few Camaro and Vette owners surprised to see the only view they get of the new filly, is of the tail lights. What I really hope to meet some cool dark night is the dreaded Hellcat to see if I can send the devil cat back to where it came from.

OK before I hear from all the Ford haters I am just having a little fun. I really had my heart set on a new vette but being rather big boned and not as agile as I once was I found it very hard to get in and out as well as fit in so I opted for the mustang. I saved some money and can still out run a Z06 in the 1/4 mile. Again before the Vette guys scream I know the Z06 would win on a road course, but I don't road race too many turns and I get lost. Although I do have Nav.

Just saw this thread. You have a pair of awesome cars for sure! I have been into mustangs since my early 20s when I bought my first 98 GT. Good luck with your son. Not sure where you are in PA, but I always suggest Summit Point Karts to anyone with a novice driver. Those things will teach you quickly how to drive something that is on the hairy edge. Just keep pushing him, there is a ton you can learn below 40 MPH on a 300# go-cart. And all of the physics still apply to the bigger vehicle. Get him just enough training to know the basics (over steer, understeer, power sliding, braking points for corners, etc).

Anyway if you are thinking about that option I would (if I have time) like to come down to summit point and join in the lessons!

As for my current car: coyote swapped 85 coupe, all motor at 3000#, best pass so far 10.29. I typically test at mason Dixon.
