Got the blade on the # 127 all ready, weights & chains. Ifn' I get my arse in gear. I'll have the #109 ready & the thrower on?
Took my buddies suggestion - deflate rear tires, wrap on the chains, bungee them in & re-inflate my tires. Made it simpler than ever before.

Pass on the calcium and go with Rim Guard aka beet juice. It'll not eat your rims or be harmful if you get a leak. Plus it has the highest weight per gallon you can get.

If you get the chains tight enough you won't need a bungee when you re inflate the tires.

Not ready yet here either. My goal is to put the blade on the 1650. Problem is, the motor's not in the 1650 yet. Guess I'd better get a move on. Always got the Bobcat skidsteer to fall back on........

Going home to New York to see my family this winter and hope to see some white stuff. Really hopeful though that the 127 will be mowing grass this winter. Sounds weird but I am in Florida so that's what happens down here, would love to use an old cub again to move some snow though.

Not quite ready yet. This will be the first winter with the 149. The blade is ready but I just realized that my snow thrower is a QA36 and NOT a QA36A! I have located a cheap QA42A, but have to make time for the 3 hour round trip to pick it up. I should have a QA36 for sale soon.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
