Today after work I got the Original out to try for the first time with the snow blower. A little trial and error with the height adjustment because of my gravel driveway. Overall I think it worked pretty well.

Good job, is that a home made spring assist you made out of bungee cord?

Thanks Lew! No that is actually a ratchet strap the lift rod is the incorrect length so I used the ratchet strap to hold the lift handle all the way back and that only raises the blower an inch or so. Hope to get that fixed soon if I figure out what rod I need. We didn't get much snow but I was anxious to try it out.

That's pretty neat. Never saw a blower on an "O."

If I get a chance I will measure my two rods and let you know the length of each.

That is correct but I have the original lights and brackets. The PO put the LED lights on.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
