PTO Bearing on 1450
Does anyone know the Parts interchange number for the PTO bearing on a 1450? From the best I can see from the cub number 453879-R91 which looks to have changed to 941-0980 that a 206FF is the same bearing. Maybe a 206F too. Not sure what the difference is between them. Anyone else know something about this? Thanks

When buying bearings, brand means everything. I don't buy bearings from McMaster because I want to know what brand I'm buying. Price is according to where it's purchased, and the brand. You pay more for Timken for example, and you will pay even more for a Timken from an auto part store. I buy bearings from a bearing supply company. Makes for the best price. If I'm in a hurry, or not after a large size or large quantity, I'll just buy at the parts store. On that PTO bearing, I'd just get it from a part store. National, SKF, BCA are all likely the brand it may be. They are all good bearings. But don't be surprised if you open the package to a bearing labeled "China". It will be fine. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
