The Admin moved my thread. I thought I was putting it in the wrong section, but I couldn't find anywhere else to put it? Sorry Admin dude. I wish they would shoot you a pm when they move them so you can find them. Is 350.00 for a number one restored too high?

I think I moved it. I usually leave a redirected link, but I set it to expire after a couple days. Sorry you had trouble finding it. In the future, you can locate all the threads you started from your profile page.

Got any pics of the restored cart? If it was sandblasted and painted with quality paint then the price is probably good, if the guy just painted it in his yard with a spray can then that's way to much.

Probably shouldn't post this here but maybe the mods will forgive me? Did IH make the carts or were they made by someone else? If they were made by someone else, was the same thing available as another brand (example lawnboy push mowers and IH push mowers)? If I ever stumble across one locally that is cheap, I'll probably pick it up!

I have a #4 that I imported from Indiana, with sidewalls on it, part of a lawn vacuum setup. I kinda feel bad that its not beautiful and pristine, and I use it alot, but I guess thats what they were built for!
one day I plan on building a custom trailer for the lawn vac, thats bigger and dumps/opens easier, since its way too small for my huge yard, but for now it works great. It does sit under a roof when not in use at least.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
