got the wire today and that did it. the welds are beautiful. here's what the wost part of it all is... the wire i was using the first time wound up being .025 i had no idea i even owned .025. it must have been the roll i got with my PM-135 10 years ago!! i had the machine set up for .035 no wonder why it wasn't working correctly. its hard to tell just by looking at the wire but when you put them next to each other you can see the difference. im glad it was just something stupid and not a problem with the machine.

Here's the old Lincoln I got for $25. It does what I need. Someday I might get a mig.
I used a big Miller mig when I was a welder in a trailer factory years ago. Don't remember the model. |

Have a couple welders. Little Lincoln 130 mig that sees a lot of use and an OLD Lincoln Idealarc 300 set up for stick and tig. The idealarc is a monster! About the size of a mini refrigerator and runs on a 100 amp breaker! It doesn't move much either, with old wire and transformer circuitry, its gotta weigh every bit of 400 lbs!

I have an old Harbor Freight 110v DUE MIG-II probably 30 yrs now? Looking to replace it with a 220v model if I ever have some spare $$$'s. I've run lots of wire through that machine.
This past year picked up an Eastwood TIG 200 and I'm trying to learn how to weld with that now. Always been something I wanted to learn . . . kind of a "bucket list" thing I never will be a professional welder but can stick things together without them coming apart! And for my projects it works for me |

I don't think I posted my Hobart AC/DC Combo machine in this thread. It's an arc and tig welder plus a plasma cutter. I need to locate a plasma torch/cable since this one is beyond shot.
I also picked up a TEC water cooled tig torch ( on the left ) and a "few" consumables too. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
