Just folowing suit. Mansfield

I am originally from NY state, most people hear NY, and they instantly think NYC. Well there is a lot more to NY than NYC.

Many PA residents live in the country rather than in town. Many of these towns/villages are very small so if I said Mingoville or Zion or Hublersburg most folks would have to google it to find out what area of PA I live in. I also believe that many do not want to disclose their exact location on the web. After 35 years in a military uniform my motto is "Don't worry about the dog, beware of the owner."

Carbon county here, live near Lehighton and Jim Thorpe (called the Alps of PA). That is some beautiful country up there Tacosteelersman. I worked on the Tioga-Hammond Dam project some time ago. Remember going up through NY above Corning and seeing the nice country up there.

I'm from Leechburg Pa, northern Westmoreland county near where Westmoreland, Armstrong, Allegheny, and Butler counties meet together.

You are right Darryl. As I see more of the states through my job, I find I take this area and it's beauty for granted. But that is all changing and I make sure my kids see the beauty of this area with its hills n valleys, changing of the seasons, the old estates that remain, and the beauty of the city's too. I enjoy it here

Yup.

Actually I don't know. I live near Pennsburg, 5 min from bucks county line west of Quakertown. Not sure your whereabouts, but I'm sure your not far. JeffinPA is 10 min in the other direction, so there are a few of us that are local.

Roland, I agree with Pauls, partly due to small towns, partly anonymity. Around a here towns were formed in colonial times when people didn't travel far. There was a mill every few miles, and each one had a town formed around it. May only be a dozen homes left (if that), but the town still exists.
We are also the only people I know that will say the abbreviation in conversation instead of saying the state name. When I travel I tell people I'm from south east PA. I've never heard anyone say "I'm from north TX" or "western OH" etc.

Bill

Lancaster County here.

Just picked up a new to me 1250 that I was going to cleanup and flip forsale but after getting it home decided I'd get back into Cubs (Longtime Bolens Tube Frame guy) I have in the past run a Cub 100 Stock Altered puller so familiar with the Cub.

Bolens parts are getting hard to find along with the Tecumseh engine parts so moving back to something with parts available and a Kohler engine gives me some comfort. I've had my hands on rebuilding more than few Kohlers over the years so I know my way around that engine. My plan is to use my 1250 for my everyday mowing and keep the Bolens for other duties as I have all the attachments already. Maybe over time I'll swap totally over to Cub if I can snag up a plow and snow-thrower to add to my collection.

Being in my 50's now I want to use my tractors and not have to be working on them all the time before or after I use them

Thanks for having me, Bruce

Welcome Bruce.
I've never had any Bolens but I do like the Cubs. We have folks with more than one brand but we all like the yellow and the red. I suppose it's safe to say that we like tractors of many colors.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
