Default new member from Texas

Hi everybody, new member here from Texas, deep south texas, so deep mexico is really my backyard. I aquired my cub cadet original from probly the only other cub cadet enthusiast here in deep south texas so you can imagine the scarcity of parts. I am new to cub cadets and i really enjoy working on my cub. I have two other tractors, a John Deere 70 and a Ride King. I love my John Deere as much as i love my cub original. I love this site and hope to make new friends thank you guys.

If parts are hard to find contact our site sponsers at the top of every page. It's best to call or email as they have tons of parts not listed on their site.

We love pictures!

I know the feeling Im up in the panhandle, its all deere up this way to. The internet is the best way to find what you need, or if you are up for a challenge you can fabricate most parts yourself.

And here all along I thought I was the only one from Texas that ever bought a IH Cub Cadet. Welcome to the place where you can get answers to your questions (About Cub Cadets). I'm in the DFW area.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
