However, it was pointed out that only the full sized machines would handle severe work and that the only REAL competition to a Cadet was Deere--a good product backed by a huge network of dealers is why those 2 owned the market.


Funny I tried to show some encouragement on a rebuild and you RER guys want to talk trash. A lot could be read into that I suppose.
Gee, I just bought the iH Cadet 60 because it looked like it would be fun to restore and maybe even use! I thought this forum might be a good place to get some advice on what is a fairly rare piece of equipment. Seems I was wrong. Maybe I need to get on back to my Bolens forum where folks are a tad bit friendlier.

Oh, I grew up driving REAL IH tractors in Iowa in the '50's. The F-20 and H were my favorites. The only Cubs in those days were Cubs. But I still like Cub Cadets - shoot, they're made by IH too, right?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
