I have a Parker suburbanite I picked up used. I used it yesterday for the first time and it was a bit fussy getting the brush adjusted to the right height. Too low and the wheels would drag, too high and it missed sticks.
When it was set right it was tossing the stuff over the top, but I realized I didn't have the tarp set correctly to prevent that. Overall it cleaned the lawn pretty well, and was a lot easier then raking by hand. It took an hour and a half to clean an acer of lawn. It failed to clean the Hickory nuts, and only got about 60% of the oak twigs. For me I would say it's easier to hook up then the vac for a quick cleaning, but it does take up shed space, and like everything else it's something to break. The vac however dose a much better job. But since I only paid 100.00 I'm pleased, if I paid the 900.00 cost new I would be displeased. Mike |

well I like my lawn sweeper, she cooks, cleans and is easy on the eyes to watch her rake the lawn.
glad she can't drive a tractor or she would want one of those fancy things to pull behind the tractor.

[QUOTE=J-Mech;256206]Are you talking about a sweeper? Or a Vac? Cause a sweeper isn't $900 new...... and a lawn vac is WAY more.
http://www.leafblowersdirect.com/Par...300/p5717.html http://parkersweeper.com/parker-prod...il.aspx?pid=58 I have an agifab vac, and the Parker sweeper. I was mostly noting comments about the sweeper, but that the vac does a better job. I would never pay 900 for the unit, but it is built well, and perhaps it will do a good job once I dial it in. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
