Nice. Picked it up just in time for it to get used for a second time!

cc123,
Looks like you went to the dealer and picked up a new one. I thought the one I got looked good. You guys are really finding some nice old iron!
Congrats!
Regards,
Chris

Thanks fellas! I couldn't believe that I got everything for such a sweet price. He even told me that he checked everything out before removing it. I will try to post some pictures of the hydraulic lift and gearbox when I get a chance.

So what is the story behind finding this haul?
Seems the story is always as good as the stuff.
Double07Those kind of finds makes all of us continue looking for these gems. The story behind this isn't any different than what others have. Found it on CL, made an offer and he said yes. He has a creepy gear, too that I may go back for. I guess the only thing unique about this haul is that it was my 2nd day working 14+ hours and I went and got it around 10pm at night, drove an hour back to my place and then put in a 16+ hour work day today.

I hope that I can find some time to set it up soon and put it to good use red56turbo. Got to get 2 cubs ready to sell first and finish up some unfinished business.

Both of mine have CADET on the flap, yours earlier, later or never had them on or a possible repaint

Great find CC123, that tiller really looks nice!

Can't wait to see the hydraulic lift.

Zippy1, not sure I've ever seen one with "Cadet" on the flap... I think 2 of mine have "International" on the flap and the other one doesn't have anything.

Thanks Lew! I got a sweet deal and couldn't believe the condition of the items when I saw them in person. As far as "museum", ????....I used to think that was people saying, "Must See 'Em" when I was little and I'm just glad that I must see 'em on CL before someone else did! Thanks for the kind words buddy.

I guess I AM too stupid to read! 2 of mine say "International Cadet" On the main cover and nothing on the flap, the other one says "International" on the main cover (way down near the flap hinge) and may have said "Cadet" on the flap but it is faded and rusty so it's hard to tell.

Funny how you can see something nearly every day and not even know what printed in it in BIG letters... Or am I just getting old?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
