Great. I considered the joystick also but am glad I didn't. You need a bit more space behind it to mount and you have to make a big round hole. My switches are about 1" apart on the left side of the dash and I can easily operate both with one hand.

I had so much fun today playing in the dirt. Haven't had that much fun in a long time. The tractor got a lot of traction with the extra weight. In second gear, I could load the bucket so much it wouldn't lift. My voltage regulator was out so I was only running off the battery. Had to load it on the trailer and go home once it started missing because the battery was so low. Can't wait to do it again.

Now you went and did it. I looked at their site over the weekend and after I wiped the drool off my chin I had to confront the financial manager to see if that can be a possibility. I would be putting it on a super, I assume it would fit any of our big boys, a 2084, 2086 or a 2072. Of course to be able to change from one to another I would have to mount switches on each tractor. I was playing with the front blade on my 2084 today and thought it would be really nice to have had a JB.
Question: How high off the ground does the bucket lift? I have a thought of loading billits of wood and be able to pick them off to the log splitter without so much bending on my part. The old back does not like that any more. I thought of making a ramp if it is not high enough that I could pull the tractor onto to raise it high enough.

It only gets about 12 inches off the ground. I have enough clearance to get it on and off my trailer but just barely. You would need a ramp. The bucket can lift 200 lbs. It can lift the front of the cub off the ground. They have a bucket attachment that would be good for picking up and lifting logs. They should have a bracket to fit your cub.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
