Steering convert GTX 1054 to power steering?

Or a 3000 series, there are quite a few out there, they have power steering and foot controls... plus the hydraulic lift is on the left side. They have a command engine, and I believe they are a pretty good machine.

He already owns the machine. It's not realistic to change machines when a bit of engineering can take care of this. Put the word out on what is needed and I am sure it can be accomplished. The purpose of these forums is to inform and help each other. Can we get a forum moderator to put this issue on some of the other forum topics?

As far as I can see this thread is in the proper area. Only other place it could fit would be in the custom section assuming he modifies the tractor. Doing a little digging maybe the PS steering from a GTX2100 could be adapted. Here is a link to the parts breakdown.

Now all that said I'm not sure it's cost effective.

I am not sure how power steering would even help. I understand that having one arm will add challenge to using most power equipment, but, I very rarely use two hands to steer. The idea of using linear actuators for steering and for speed control combined with a joystick would be easier to use (after the learning curve) if it is a strength issue.

I'm not really understanding the whole need for power steering. Isn't this tractor foot operated forward and reverse? So that would leave the one hand you have for steering only.
On my tractors I'm using a hand and less than a half, basically. I've got one good one, (left) and a right with no grip, can't bend a pop can, but I can use it to operate the speed control. The right side controlled ones, not the left, it's a whole different animal.
So if I'm correct on this tractor all you need to do with your hand and arm is steer? There is a knob out there that we call a quad steering knob, similer to the one in the picture. You use the whole hand inside it rather than a suicide knob.
Don't mean to sound like a dick, but I'm not seeing the difficulty in this unless there is something really messed up with your arm.
