Default RARE 800 with Creeper Gear and Reverser

No pictures of the rear end offered, but if you look from the driver's seat picture you can see the "possible" reverser lever, so I assumed it has a rear pto. Nonetheless, it looks like a nice 800. Just in time for tax returns!!!

EDIT: Sorry, no reverser......

That is a rear PTO lever. Reversers didn't have any actuating lever. But no mention of a rear PTO in description, or reverser. Tunnel cover may not be original. Rear PTO was an option on the 800.

I find the model 800 interesting to have available optional accessories such as headlamps, and an under drive/creeper gear given the fact that it was built on the economy principal. Regardless, nice to have in one's collection I'm sure!

Would be nice to know if it has the full complement of 800 only parts that are so hard to find.

Thanks for not bashing me, Jon! Your not a moron! I will edit my post. I guess what I was getting at was that the lighting on the model 800 was not a factory option such as was the 14/1650's were. I apologize.

Nice to see picts of that nice 800 CAD!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
