Grampie thank you for the pic, as I don't think I got to see yours the first time. That is one great looking line up you have there.

Default Let It Snow,Let It Snow, Let It Snow!!!

And it is here in western Pa. today. I just picked up an all steel cozy cab the other day off craigslist for the 149. It was on a large frame bolins but we won,t tell the 149 that! we'll make it fit with the help of a cut off wheel and mig welder. I'll post pic's later. Grampie

Here is my 1862, I just got it last month and I love it already the hydrolic lift and power steering are really nice. I can wait to use it if it ever snows here. the blade is a 42" but i would like to try a 54" it would make cleaning the street and alley allot faster if it would handle it. I think I will wait and see how it handles the 42" first. This is not my only cub I have two 482's converted to gear drive but they are the pullers.

My wife's uncle has a 1862 that he uses for snow plow duties and he's extended the 42" blade 12" on both sides. He lives in Ohio and he has great results. He has the steel peco deck with the briggs and chains on it for weight. The tilt steering and power steering are great featurs to the cyclops. Many say they are the best riding tractors they have ever drove. I'm wanting his 1864 with factory cat0 for my collection.

Heres a couple pics I snapped this mornin of my 3235 all ready for snow removal duties this winter. The diff lock is amazing for pushing snow! Its equipped with the 23 hp kohler, 23x10.5x12 ag tires, custom receiver hitch, 42" snow plow off of a 1215, and the 60" commercial deck for grass cutting duties. It is in bad need of a paint job, and the carb has never been right since I got it, but considering I have a total of $500 in it, Im not gonna complain!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
