It wasn't mine, but my dad's first (and only) Cub was a 127. He used it for about 10 years until he blew the motor. He got another one to use the motor from, but never got it to run right and sold it to a friend who painted it red, then parted it out when he also couldn't get it to run. Last year I bought my first IH Cub, a 147, which I still have and will probably never sell.

My 129 sits in the barn. Kids drive it once in awhile. That’s about it.

Still have the 107 I bought from Grandpa! Would sell my 102 before the 107 because it's my remembrance of him. The 107 is still very much in use for mowing and snow plowing. Hope to plow some dirt with it this spring!

My first Cub was my dad’s first Cub. He bought the 100 around 1978-80. He gave it to me in 2009. I don’t plan to ever let it go since he passed in 2016 and it brings back memories.

1st was a 129 with a bent crank. Pushing snow it would eat spiral pins like cheese cake. Had it from 2000 till 20012. Was just sitting around, not used for anything, so I sold it to a friend. Never regretted it... now my 1450 on the other hand...never be sold!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
