Anytime I had a Cub painted NAPA paint was used. The 2 Originals in my album were done with NAPA paint. Painter expressed how nice the paint was to work with. I don't recall what reducer etc. was used.

I used Napa’s paint on one of my originals. Martin Senior I think is what brand it was. They mixed it with reducer for me so it was ready to spray after I added hardener. I had always mixed my paint myself so it seemed a lot more reduced than what I was used to but after some gun adjustments I had it flowing good with no more runs. Came out well.

I believe like Alvy said.. Napa paint is made by Martin Senoir.. I have never used Napa but I have had good luck before with Martin Senoir paint.. Good luck with your project!

Well not that I’m a painter let’s get that out of the way. But, at first, the paint was running like mad so I think I kept the same psi but adjusted the knob that controls how much paint it puts into the gun when you squeeze the trigger (material knob maybe??) amd also made the spray pattern a bit wider.

Tim aka Olds is the guy to ask for advice but I just did a lot of trial and error on cardboard when I used that paint. Again, it was premixed by them so it’s possible that they even mixed it wrong but it was super thin and watery so I had to do a lot of thin coats but turned out ok.

PS I use the harbor freight gun that most here use and it does a good job

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
