Default PTO Belt

Hello Everyone! I just picked up a QA 42 Snowblower/Thrower for my 782 and wondering what the size or part number is for the PTO belt. P/O didn't have the belt or know the size. Looks like a 5/8 pulley on it. He had it on a 682. It's a bit rough from setting outside but after about half an hour and some WD40 and the grease gun spins freely! Any help will be Greatly Appreciated! Bill

The belts and blades chart link you posted in the Resources section is no longer where hosted.
If you still have the pdf, perhaps up load it to this site?

The QA42 is for a narrow frame Cub and will not work on a wide frame.
Are you sure it's not a QA42A??

Well......I thought since this thread is about pto belt, Lance would look at this thread and see my related post.
The link in post #2 above works, yes.

When you go to the Resources section and see the thread in post #2 above, there is another thread about belts and blades created by Lance.
The link in his thread about belts and blades no longer works.

Default PRO Belt

The ID plate is worn and scratched and the only thing I could read was QA42. But since I did mention in my first post it came off a 682 then it must be a QA42A.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
