Default "O" value

What kind of price range are Originals going for? The other day there was a nice looking one for sale locally that had been repainted nicely (from the photos). It looked complete, but didn't run--$375, It was gone in a couple days. A few days later, there was a rough looking "O" for about the same money, it sold quick as well. These were the only 2 I recall seeing locally on Craigslist in a very long time.

the prices for O's is all over the place, some days you can buy nice ones cheap and the next day you pay top buck for rusty junk. theres an ad on clist in my area for 3 of them for $550.

All 3 for $550? I've been seeing a lot of 70s model Cadets lately for $3-600, and they aren't selling. Those O's went in 2-3 days. The one that was painted was a great buy even if it didn't run, someone spent a lot of money and time to get to looking that good. My guess, the restorer wasn't the seller.

Yes all 3 for $550 and they've been listed a few times.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
