Then I sprayed a lot of PB Blaster on the rock shaft arm and was able to slide the big dowel out threw the right side of the frame just enough so I could swing a hammer and remove the rest of the roll pins that were stuck in the dowel. Hope this makes sense and helps you out... Oh and I also cursed a lot of swear/cuse words too, it didn't help much LOL

Forgot to mention I also removed the pin from the hydro cylinder and flipped that bracket up out of the way.
Thanks for the tips

Amazing how mounting a blade can turn a cute cub into a mean mean earth/snow moving machine.

$100 with the hydraulic angle cylinder.
But I have to get hoses to see how (if) it (cylinder) works.

Big push blade looks really good on the tractor. I'm not sure what is broke but sure you will get it fixed
Its going to look good painted too.

Chris

Got back on the "face lift" of the push blade the other week.
So far I've got all the small things done, wire wheeled and primed and painted.
Next week I'll get the blade and mount sand blasted and ready for paint. Here's a couple pictures of the progress thus far.
Also I need to know something about the cylinder. It does have a small leak on the end, so.... Has anyone ever had one of these rebuilt? The packing needs to be replaced, so the end needs to be cut off and re-packed then welded back together. Has anyone done this, or had it done?
Thanks

Todd,
The parts for the blade look like new. I'm not a cylinder guy. I would expect that these would be serviceable but I think you said it might not be??
A wood fire in the old wood stove feels real good, taking the chill off tonight.
Man you keep your shop way too clean
Regards,
Chris

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
