Default how to restore cast iron 1650 nose
I've worked with restoring metal parts. But am a bit new to cast iron. I want to start restoring my grill off my 1650 but wanted to know whats the best way of removing paint and repainting the cast iron grill?

I just finished doing this. My goal was to save the rough as cast look so I just used stripper on it. Came out looking great. Good luck with yours

80 grit on a d.a use finishing putty to fix deap scratches or dings or small cracks. Then 180 gritt and prime. Couple good coats let dry 400grit the primer and reprime again then 400 grid and paint

Wire wheel on a drill works great if you don't want chemicals but still want the rough cast look
