here is a pic of the rear mount im building for the haban. If all goes as planned it should support the sickle like original, but not carry the front tire on uneven ground. It will be out of the way of my leg, and of itself.

No pics, yet, but I have finished rebuilding the sickle blade today. Time to clean it up and start fitting it on to the new 127.

Wow been a while since I have been on here! The sickle bar modification works perfect. Much, much better than original. There is no frame twist, and it carries its own weight amazingly well. The lift handle is easier to hold up, if you wanted to use it near vertical. It cuts grass, and anything up to 1 1/2" trees very well. I love this thing and it sure is a rare thing in my area. I hope to get some pics on here soon, will get the pics ready this weekend, after I put it back on.

Great to see you back! I was just talking about you to Allen the other day. Been meaning to call but it's been to late or to early. You and Gary have turned into rare birds since you got your Habans running!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
