My tractor runs on good ol E85. To do so, the choke must be pulled out a tiny bit. It smells great and does not run rich. I have not noticed a consumption difference, as I don't really keep track.

I have to change to E10 in the winter.

I also run E85 all the time in my Chevy Silverado. Gets 14 mpg on E85, or 17mpg on E10. Similar results with my Chrysler Minivan. Dad runs his Cuda on E85, as well as his 2001 Ram.

A lot of what you hear about ethanol isn't true. It doesn't rot out rubber parts. Most of the time, those parts were old to begin with.

It isn't perfect, but it sure works good.

Like others have said, if you leave gas in the tank during the entire winter you'll have problems regardless how good the fuel is. I'll only fill a 5 gallon jug of fuel so it won't last long. I also mix stabil with it. No problems so far.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
