Thanks. Couldn't have done it without your help.

The 15/17 gearset works great. With cut tires and a biting track, I can run in second. 3rd gear works for a loose track. To me, proper gearing is most important, followed by properly weighing the tractor, tires, then engine.

My last two pulls everyone dug holes about the same spot. I had all my body weight on the bar behind my seat and managed to dig my way past it. The tractor almost stopped trying to dig through everyone else's holes. Once past the bad spot, I put 15 feet on everyone else. Plan to add a back weight bar for the next pull.

Managed to find a set of 26" Super Lugs with the nubs still on. They are still out there. Hate to say what I paid for them though. Anyhow, not much else I can do to my tractor. Thanks again for your patience and help, and thanks to everyone else who pitched in.

That is what I started with but there are already a couple of tractors out there with that name. Then I thought Rock Crusher. That would be a bit long, so I shortened it to Crusher.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
