I do Jeeps and Jeep parts for a living... I grew up in the business.. My grandfather and father have been messing with them since the late 1940's... The internet and the ill informed forums have turned the business into a nitemare! I have to completely ignore some of the comments... people will call and ask a question... then tell you that you are wrong... or tell you that's not what the internet says!... I just don't even argue anymore... it's not worth the breath...
I do the Cubs for fun... I have found this forum to be very real and grounded.. Doesn't seem to be too much nonsense here...

People will post things on Facebook that they never would say to another human being in a face to face meeting. Whether the information is correct or not isn't important to the arrogant genius spouting all his so called knowledge. As long as he looks all wise and powerful, is all that matters. Much of Facecrap is an ego trip.
I prefer research from factory manuals and searching out educated individuals, with actual EXPERIENCE, to find an answer.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
