Squirrels eating plastic fuel tank
My woman likes her red 8/32. (can we get an OLE!!!) It is always parked in an open shed and this year the squirrels have taken a liking to the plastic fuel tank. First they chewed up the cap but today when she was mowing I saw fuel squirting out when she passed by. HOLD IT RIGHT THERE LITTLE LADY. Lo and behold the little vandals chewed a hole in the tank. They must be mad that we stopped filling the bird feeders.
I guess I could build a tin shield around it. What would you do?

Oh I hate those tree rats. That's all they are. I had the red variety eat my hand grips off my ATV last winter.
Shot three of them off the bird feeder. Set a couple rat traps with peanut butter and a kernel of corn in the peanut butter, you'll get em. I'm assuming they are red squirrels, right? There's other ways to get em.

Care to elaborate about that evil plan of yours Todd?
I have one too! Let them chew that tank full of gas and light them up! Now let see how far they go before they get out of gas! By the way...If I see that kind of red I poop in my boots.

This is getting quite interesting.
Kind of like when white man headed west across America, I don't think I am able to eradicate the species. They'll just keep coming.

Prolly not, but if you get one of the breeders, you can slow them down before they take up permanent residence...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
