Many years ago when I was a young and dumb kid my cousin and I took out a paper wasp nest with a sling shot and an M80. I was the shooter and my cousin was the guy that lit the fuse. Fired it into the nest from about 20 feet away. Nothing but paper left when it went off.

Sounds like a reasonable solution to me!

Hornet nest beginning (if left alone it will grow quite large). I get these regularly. Soaking the nest with wasp killer spray does it, then knock it down and dispose.

For the yellow jacket holes (in the ground) I use the diesel fuel method. Late evening is best.

For whatever reason, I have one area that gets constant yellow jacket re infestation and another area that these hornet nest get rebuilt regularly. Just a sweet spot for them I guess.

In the early 1950's, my BIL used;
gasoline
hypodermic needle
Zippo
and
LOTS of imagination!!

It was good for attack from 15 feet!!

Tent caterpillars did not stand a chance, either,,,,,,,

I never tried it, only witnessed it!!

Your BIL and I would get along just fine.

Foaming spray is the way to go. It foams up on contact (looks like shaving cream) and stays foamed for a few minuets any wasp or bee that crawls through never makes it out alive.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
