Default David Kirk Tach possible reproduction

Good afternoon -

Recently made a purchase from David Kirk engines and inquired about making tachometers again - he submitted the following response "...I'll put you down on the "tach wanted list" and if I collect a few more names, may do another production run.."

If anyone else is interested please send him a message and let him know - dkirk@fastbytes.com

Hopefully we have enough interest to justify another run.

That's great! I wonder how many constitute a run?

Default Tach

I emailed Mr Kirk also and received a reply. Min. of 100 to make. If he receives enough response he will probably go with it. Any one interested needs to email Kirk Enterprises right away. No info on cost. Hopefully we will have enough responses. Have a great day.
Bob

I'm interested in a few also so I sent an email too.

I'm not sure how they did it but the Wheel Horse 520 uses a dash mounted tach on the Onan P220's.

I've thought about putting a tach on some of mine...... but, I figure that I've gotten away with not having one.... um, ever, so I probably won't bother. I agree, the ones he had made up were pretty cool though.

Todd, I'm thinking the Onan motors had a tach wire on the ignition system for other applications. (Like gen-sets.)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
