I'm trying to find the blade number for this very deck. I've looked at all the parts manuals and they are quite vague in the numbers. They list 3 different blades for 3 or 4 decks and all are listed under the same item. When I do a search of the part number and get nothing.. uggh

Earl, I gave a link in your other thread to an online parts book. Gives the part number and even blade size. Doesn't get any easier than that.

I saw it, it shows 3 different blades. The image I saw didn't list an actual part number unless I missed it. Messicks has the same thing. The blades themselves are a bit over 16" and that's fine. It takes a special blade though with an arch to each end if that makes sense. I will look again but with 3 different styles it would make it easy to order the wrong ones...

Took a ton of clicking, copying, pasting and research to find them. Apparantly kubota uses the same blade. So I found the woods number it crossed to kubota, from there to Oregon and finally stens. Kubota was just too pricey, Oregon out of stock everywhere and finally stens for $14+ each. Important note is these blades are left hand cut. Found them on stens direct... 345-751 is the stens number...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
