Lawn mower carb help on a Corvette forum
Sometimes you got to sit back and wonder what they were smoking/drinking/banging their head against.

What I found most humorous was that a turn wasn't really a turn. |

I'll bet it will crank with the screws fully closed. Probably won't run though.

Same here, but I understand. When I tune a carb, I count in half-turns. If I count to 5, it's 2.5 turns tho. Clear as mud right?

But what he implied was the 2-1/2 turns YOU end up with would be 1-1/4 for him

Luckily he didn't have to get into the carb. Fresh gas "allowed" it to run. |

What gets me the most is the ones that will argue that they are right and everyone else is wrong. They are superior and all the rest are just idiots.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
