FWIW, they aren't that hard to find. I see them for sale a few times a year. But, I'm not looking for one either.

The 382 is not a standard cub, it's a LT or lawn tractor and isn't good for much else. If you're looking for a real cub I suggest getting on Craigslist and looking, if you have any questions about what is and isn't a good model feel free to make a new post and ask.

As was said before, this thread is over 6yrs old and the original poster hasn't logged on in 5yrs so if you're waiting for an answer you wont get one. You keep asking about the 382, do you have one or are you looking to buy one? Maybe you have one for sale and want to know its value? If so we have a section for that as well which can be found here.

If you have one and need help feel free to start a new thread on the topic and we will be glad to help. If you are looking to buy you can also post a thread in the "whats it worth" section and we will do are best to make sure you don't over pay.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
