Default Another 1450....

Got home late last night with another 1450, just needed to drop in a battery and I drove it out of trailer, proceeded to cut grass for a twenty minute test drive. Lights are the only major repair reqiured. Missing the side panels of course but at least the grill is intact. Motor doesnt shake much so the mounts are good, has a rear angle drive for a tiller but no tiller so I'll pull that off before it goes up for sale, also included spare mule pulleys for the front and an extra incomplete deck.

Cost me $120 in fuel and a Honda walk behind tiller that I picked up for free a couple years ago

I only got my first Cub last week but I'm already looking for and feeling the need to multiply the machines...

Sounds like you got the better end of the stick here on this deal

Nice pick up Lance. Take the upper pin out of the upper lift piece as well because its tiller specific with the hole drilled vertically. Or better yet take the whole lift off and sell the tractor as a grass killer only and lift seperate.

Ya I will take the lift off, never know when I might need it for a future project. Hopefully I'll have it serviced and cleaned up by the weekend. I have more potential buyers than tractors this spring

These QLs arent something I would be tempted to keep for myself but they always sell good. This one is in fairly decent condition overall but it rattles a bit up front around the exhaust box, I might add some strips of weatherstripping to see if I can make a more "Quiet" Quietline, and the deck sounds like it could use some grease aswell.

Personally I dont like hand controlled fwd/rev ground speed setups, actually Im not a fan off hydro's in general but if they have foot pedal controls there are nice to drive, but Im old and I prefer oldschool gearboxes with a clutch. These two 126s I have right now are more my kind of tractor.

Nice "horse-trading" on the 1450. It's always good when you can come out ahead on a deal.

The other guy is happy with the deal, and weve done biz in the past, hes gonna be driving truck across the border to the USA alot and his wife wanted a nice tiller, and the Honda F500 is a nice tiller, fully adjustable handlebars and easy to start. It works out for everyone.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
