Got some time to work on the 782, I got the new fuel pump installed and the carb cleaned and now it purrs like a kitten. I also got the tins back on the engine and buttoned up everything else that needed assembled, I even put the tunnel cover back on so Todd can relax about it. I switched out the rear tires for some I had laying around. The only thing left to do is figure out the PTO issue, hopefully I can get it figured out in the morning so I can bring it home and put the deck on off the 1211 and see how she mows.

THANK GOODNESS, I've been losing sleep over that.
It's looking better all the time Tim. Now that you "fixed" the PTO issue, we should see it on mowing duty tomorrow.

Good job that you've got her figured out Tim, She sure is colorful with the tins on, you'll have to call it the "calico cub." Beauty is in the fact that you have a running working tractor that some left for dead.

I just got done mowing the grass and it went of without a hitch. It's amazing how much power this thing has, it didn't bog down in any of the spots my 1211 normally does. The only thing I need to address is the steering, it turns very sharp to the left but only turn about half way to the right. Here's a pic and a short video of it in action.

Nice job pal. Looks like “the Viking” is doing well.
Looks like you need something to pick up those leaves with now.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
