Hybrid K-271 engine "stroker"
Might be the wrong place for this tread but anyone build/run one? If your unfamiliar with it it's a 10hp block and pistion with a 12 hp rod and crank "stroker" build

Never personally built one. But I'd imagine it'd be better/cheaper just to build the 12 k301....

Ahh. I see. I'm sure one of our puller guys will be along sooner than later. Does this class have a bore restriction or something? Around here if you put the 12 horse bottom end in the 10th horse block and somebody called you on it your engine would be tore down and you'd be done.

Most rules won't allow it.
I don't know if your familiar with engines at all or not, but you do know that the wrist pin on the 10 and 12 hp are different sizes right? |

Well, if your looking to Mr. Miller for advice on how to build, I think you'll be pretty disappointed. Most of his information is about 10 years old or older. I guess it's hard to keep up with the new stuff when your in prison.
I'm going to say this again.... so pay attention. I doubt your local rules will allow it, so better check. I really think you better stick to a standard crank. There are no gains in going to a 12hp stroke in a 10hp block. You can do more with it, without the extra stroke. |

Ask you questions here and you will get the info you need. If you want to pull in a 10hp stock class, you can't stroke it and be legal. If you can't win unless you cheat, give it up. Read and post the rules if you want help. Stock means different things to different groups. If on a even playing field, spending time getting youy tractor, tires and weights dialed in will get the trophy. Randy

David Kirk has a few build ups on Killer Kohler ...... none were a stroker engine. As stated in an earlier post you need to check the rules.....most have a cubic inch limit.

I just asked if anyone has built one! not the life story of B miller why would you state his personal stuff in a reply to my thread anyways? especially from a couple senior members from the site? And the rules are the "gray"area. I am sure the senior members commenting have never ran/built stuff within the "gray" area.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
