Had a little fun today
Spent some time today with the 782.. Wife was out of town.. had tons of other stuff that needed to be done but this was way more fun!
 The 1862 axle is underneath and fits like a glove.. got the steering valve mounted, tube and shaft cut and welded.. I extended the shaft and tube one inch to raise the steering wheel a bit... feels a little more natural now.

good progress so far...I've always loved the way the old part of the shop smelled...I know that seems strange.
perfect spot since you have to walk by it daily. keep up the good work.

Looks like your making good progress Jay. I like you're idea of extending the column up just a few inches. Being 6'2" I've always felt like I'm leaning forward a little when sitting on my 82 series Cubs.

Like Todd said keep the pictures coming. Going to make a great tractor when you are done. I know that I really like the running the 782 that I fixed up for the wife.
