1000
My 1000 is great candidate, but ain't gonna happen. If I had a homestead, it might be tempting.

I still reel at selling my K341 from a model 169! I stood at the gates to drop the k341 into my model 86. Guy in South Dakota paid shipping, and sent me a set of IH wheel weights that I still have. I was glad to have had the chance to put a 169 back into original action!
Look for a Wheel Horse 161-h . These came with K341's too. Might be the same oil pan, guessing because the Wheel Horse frame is just two pieces of angle iron, much like the '69 Ford LGT I just serviced.

The Lgt series began in 1972 and have a heavy steel tube frame, nothing in common with earlier models.

I had an LGT 16 hp and the oil pan was part of the frame. Welded in.
I tempoarily put a 10 hp in it. Bolted right to the oil pan as part of the frame. |

That would have been an openside Lgt165, 16=HP/5=hydro, assuming it was a factory 16hp. Would have looked like my Lgt145...

Yes, that's it. The thing was built like a tank. Had a three point on the back.

Tim, I plan on taking a 147 and putting a gear rear end in it to make a 146. I'll get custom decals for it, and it'll complete my 6/7 series collection (even though they never offered that from factory). I'd like to make a hydro 7hp too, but I can't put a hydro on a short tunnel.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
