Default Number 3 in first 6 months

I bought number 3 in the 6 months i have on here. A clean 147. Now i hope to find all the pieces for a deck and pto. A friend picked up for me . I haven't been home yet. That is why the pic is the craiglist add.

Nice looking tractor. Need to get rid of that off topic seat.

I knew it didn't look right but it didn't register until you said it. I have a lot to learn.

I can see it has the big blower housing in the pic so it must be a 14.

You might be right, there tie rod! Why list a k241? Looks like a lot of gap from the blower housing to the frame well to me.

A tag on the left side of the engine blower housing.

Nice tractor. Looks like a less than 14hp motor in that pic. But, not a very big, or good, pic.

The motor tag says it is a k321A so it is a 14 hp. I finally got home drove it around the yard a little. It runs great. It has the electric lift for the mower(no mower). Was that an option or did all model 147's have the electric lift.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
