That would have been a deal breaker for me too. The CC does not go with the house when it's sold. My wife is the type that would understand and wouldn't have gone along with it.

That being said, my wife's grandpa had a cottage up north (in MI) and had a really nice older 12-15 foot boat there. He decided to sell said cottage and the boat went with it. He wouldn't even entertain offers from the family to buy the boat. The worst part about it was it sat in a garage on a trailer and 1) he didn't use it and 2) he wouldn't let anyone else use it.

Deal breaker for me also. Sold a house once and the buyer wanted my antique pool table. (1890's Brunswick) I scratched it off the contract 4 times and the last time I scratched it off I told the agent if the contract comes back again with the pool table on the contract I would tear up the contract and tell the prospective buyer to find another house. Came back the next time without the pool table.

I would not let a cub go with a house either.
I had the same thing as you Buickguy, the people wanted my Schmidt table. They didn't get it.

I find it weird that people think they can put anything they want in the contract to buy with part of the house. And the realtors make it worse by allowing them to put said things in the contract!

I don't post often, but I do check in regularly.

I agree with the others. The things that are included in the purchase should have been listed in the contract. Other items, well no. Your Cub Cadet? No. Just no.

I no longer own property, but someone wants to buy my 1250 Nightmare, and I have told him many times that it isn't for sale. Some things just aren't for sale. I wish people would respect that.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
