Aren't there synthetic bushings that would be tougher still than even the Moog rubbers? Just thinking back years ago to building race cars with some buddies and we replaced all the rubber with harder stuff for crisper handling. Just tossing that out there as food for thought.

You want a softer durometer bushing, not harder. The harder the rubber, the more vibration trasfer you'll get.

ccspecialties has the factory ISO mounts for 20 bucks and they are in the engine & exaust tab on the website. I think that he is in Minnesota, so shipping shouldn't be too bad. www.ccspecialties.org

4 are required, which is why he's going after the chassis mount bushings...much less than $80 per set.

Well I just went and did the ISO mounts on the new to me 1250 yesterday. I ended up reusing the top rubbers on the bottom and put moog bushings on top. I got the moog bushings at autozone for $7( 1 kit for a 1990 Chevy Caprice) for 4. I think I screwed up though. I put the metal insert for the old iso mounts in the new moog bushings. I don't think I was supposed to do that and I'm still getting a lot of shaking. I guess I'll be taking those inserts out and trying it again. I'll post more later when I get that done. Also, I swapped my cradle for one with the mod done to it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
