Any idea where I can find a parts listing for the mule attachment? I'm trying to put the tensioner pulley back to original but have hit a wall on that item.

So the drive belt for a 48" deck is smaller than that for a 38" & 42"?

Correct. The deck is a different size and therefore the center pulley is closer to the front of the tractor, thus resulting in a shorter belt required.

Here's a little tutorial on how to search for your tractor and attachments on the Cub Cadet website. Go to cubcadet.com, and click the 'service and parts' link on the upper right side of the page. Once there, type '107' for the model and select '107, 2050038U' from the list. You have to click 'select assembly' on the right side of the list. Once the list pops up, there will be a breakdown of the tractor with an "Attachments" link at the top of the list. Look through there for any attachments you need parts for, otherwise select the section in the list for the area of the tractor you are looking for. Your deck is the 48" 3-Spindle deck, and it's Part 2 (1968-1971)

Here is a link to the mule drive parts list for you:
http://www.cubcadet.com/equipment/AR...0-A/0075600004

However, I don't think it'll give you the breakdown you require to get the parts put back together properly. You might need an actual parts manual for that.

I was wondering what part number is the correct mule drive belt for this mower and deck combo as it did not come with the proper one. Also, does anyone know where to buy the correct tension pulley parts for the mule as it has been modified and broken. I have made a spring for it temporarily that is working but would like to put it back to original.

As far as the deck goes, I was wondering if there was a way to look up the serial number as it is 482 U1116 and all I have found is the 482 U1113, is there a difference?

The mower seems to have a charging system problem but I haven't had a chance to dive into that yet.

Again, your time and assistance would be greatly appreciated.

damn you I was in line to buy that same tractor .great lookin tractor and I'm very jealous

Lance, I gave him the link back in the 4th post. All parts are there...

Where in Maryland are you? I have about a dozen narrow frame mule drives, and I have family that lives just south of Baltimore. I could bring one your way the next time I come down that way. Do you need the whole deck carrier or just the front mule part?

Zippy, I apologize as I had missed the attachment folder on the parts tree im slowly learning. I was able to get with Mr. Lamar and luckily he still provides wiring as a great price and I look forward to their arrival. I think I have a lot of work ahead of me with this as I was not expecting the flood of information so quickly from you all. Thanks again.

No apology needed. Just pointing out that the post was already made to answer your question.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
