Default The year was, 1972

You could order everything on the menu, for what you now pay for a Big Mac and fries.

I remember back in the mid 1960's, where we went to McDonald's, and had a hamburger, fries, and a drink for $ .96 here in Mid Michigan.

McDonald's accepts credit cards now because to feed an average family can easily be near $50 !!! That and many of the young today don't carry cash. I frequent a local truck stop/convenience store for take out coffee and stand in line while kids (in their late 20's) ahead of me charge a bottle of Perrier on a debit card. Come on really? You can't carry a buck for a bottle of water?

My generation paid cash, if we didn't have the cash, we didn't purchase it.
I never had a credit card till I retired 14 years ago.
Now I put everything on a card even if it is a dollar purchase.
I mean everything, Dr bills, Auto/home ins, utility bills everything!
They pay me 1% back on all of my purchases and I have 30 days use of their money, while mine is earning $$ and I haven't paid a red cent in interest in all that time.
Whats not to like about that?
But you have to discipline yourself, because once you pay interest, THEIR cash register goes cha-ching!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
