My buddy Gunner is not well
I know he's a dog, but he's been my best friend for the past 12 years come Jan. I found out last week he's got cancer, and the Vet said it's a fast traveling one.
We (I) am having a tough time with this whole thing, I want to do something for him, but really there is nothing I can do. He's been my best friend for a long time, always there for me in the good and bad times. I'm trying to just deal with it, but I keep thinking of what I'm going to have to do in time, and I just can't stand the thought, man this sucks But if you don't mind, say a prayer or two for us, one for Gunner and another for us, to try and help us through this, please. Thanks

Sorry to hear about Gunner. Probably the only thing you can do is spoil him as much as possible right now.

We put our Golden Retriever down a year ago last week due to illness. It was the hardest thing to do, but the right thing to do as well for his well being. Being our best friend for 9 years, it was best for him so that he would not suffer any longer.
Time heals all wounds...we are still not over Dilly Dally, but knowing he is in a better place is comforting. Prayers to you Tony |

I am sorry about the bad news Todd. Our pets really grow to be a huge part of the family and it is way too short of time that they are with us. Will keep you in our prayers along with Gunner.

Prayers are being sent to you Zippy, family and Gunner in this difficult time. I know how you feel 100%. Dogs have been a huge part of my life since a child. I can't remember ever not being without a dog or multiple dogs. Gunner will let you know when it's time. Stay strong Zippy.

Very heart felt everyone. I'm trying one last thing on Wed. See right now he's in no pain, I can tell. He's got tumers on his jowl on the left side, and according to the vet they will continue to get bigger and eventually they will burst and he will most likely bleed out. So this is why they recomended to have him put out before that would happen. And if I were to have them removed they would grow back fast.
So I'm going to have them removed on Wed. and with that it should get him into spring or summer before there back as big, or bigger, in my eyes it would be better than having to put him down around the holidays. (In my eyes) I just can't give up on the old boy, I mean he eats and drinks, seems fine other than the big lump on the jowls, but like all thing cancer, there's no guarantee, but it's worth a shot! Again, thank you everyone for the prayers, some think he's just a dog, but he's alot more than that, plus his son Ruger wouldn't know what to do without him

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
