Default LT 1050 Fuse blowing
Good Morning.Thanks for allowing me to join the Forum. I have a 2005 (or so) LT1050. My Tractor starts and runs for about 10 minutes until the 20A Fuse blows. It does this with or without the PTO engaged. I know electrical problems are tough to find, I thought I would ask if any particular modules or components are known to cause this issue more than others. According to the information plate my Model/Serial #s are;

Will this condition exist, if you simply turn the Ignition Switch to the "run" position, waiting the 10+ minutes, without the engine running ??

Thanks for the quick response. The answer to your question is no. I thought I checked that yesterday but I rechecked today before I responded. While I was doing that I examined the parts of the Wiring Harness I could get to and found some heat/age damage in the Headlight cable wiring where the wiring went into the protective covering. I cut the bad parts out, taped the ends and let the engine run for about 50 minutes then I engaged the Mower Deck and ran that way for about 15 minutes. So far, so good. The bare wiring must have been resting against a part of the frame and was acting as a higher impedance leak to ground that didn't blow the fuse right away as a dead short would. It's raining here in my little piece of Delaware so I can't really give a good endurance test. The Headlight Bulbs burned out years ago so lights are not essential for me. Thanks again. Hopefully I am good to go.
