Another 129 I picked up recently!!
Well, I know the unspoken rule.....don't mention a new tractor unless you have pictures to show!! So, here are some pics of my newest acquisition, my 3rd 129 (still haven't posted pictures of my 2nd one yet).....and as I was unloading this one at my place, a man pulled up in my driveway and wanted to sell his 129 to me, but I'm out of room !!!!
She's a little rough, but mows like a champ!!! I just got to it in time, since the PO was mowing without the engine being bolted down at all, no fluid in the rearend, which was also missing a couple of bolts, the pto was constantly engaged--because the engine wasn't bolted down, etc... Nice 129 you picked up there. I'm curious as to what size that mower deck is, it looks really wide.

Thanks guys!!! The 129 is a good, solid tractor. CaptMax: The PO told me that it was a 48" deck, but I haven't measured it yet. I tried to grease up the spindles, but the grease zerk on the left spindle keeps coming off and sticking in my gun........she needs some TLC!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
