Under carriage= subframe. Connects both at the QA attach at the front AND to the rockshaft under your feet. Not entirely necessary to push snow/dirt, but a good idea especially when you are pushing a whole lotta snow and don't know what's under the snow then BLAAAMMM it shudders the whole tractor. PS when pushing snow remove the trip lock out so the blade can trip.

I'm just gonna leave it as is unless someone comes up with the part I need. We don't get much snow here in this part of NC. But when we do, it's normally a lot, and I have a long driveway.
PS: What is a rockshaft? Everyone keeps mentioning it?

Rockshaft in this case is the shaft under the footrests that the implement lift handle is attached to (it doesn't spin like a shaft in other applications, it just rocks back and forth).

I think rockshaft is not what the blade subframe hooks to. I've always called the shaft that pivots when you move the lift arm the rockshsft. The subframe hooks on the 3/4 round bar that is at the back of your footrest. It goes all the way across the tractor.

Just to clarify,

On the Narrow Frame tractors the little "forks" on the blade subframe slip around the implement lift rock shaft.

On Wide Frame tractors, the forks attach to the 3/4" bar that's welded to the underside of the frame.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
