Default What kind of plow is this?

Anyone know what model plow this is? I forgot to measure it when I was up there today...sorry! It doesn't mount to the front of the 2182 anywhere. It mounts to the hydraulic lift pins and to the rear 3pt hitch mounts. I've looked in the tech library and can't find anything like this. Everything I saw mounts to the front of the tractor.

I'm also trying to figure out how to lower it about 1/2". It's hard to see but one side is higher than the other and I can't get it to go lower than that.

First: I moved this to the implements section.

Second: No idea what brand it is or what it came off but it's not a Cub blade.

Third: It may be twisted so you'll probably need to twist it in the opposite direction.

Looks like you're due for a new wear edge once you get it straightened.

Actually, I'm really shocked how well it worked when you hit something, or even went to close to the lawn. It rode right up on top of the grass and didn't catch on anything. I guess since it attaches to the rear, it's just like a giant pivot and rides right up on top of anything.

Wow, I'm kinda surprised. It fit and installed so easy, just a few pins and clips. Well, I guess if it was custom made, the previous owner did a decent job and make it pretty easy.

Actually, I just was playing with the bolt that supports the center of the blade. I found that if I put in about a 3/4" spacer, so the blade tips forward just a little, it leveled it right out. I'll give that a try when we get some more snow and see how it does.

Thanks for the help!

If it is working without busting anything up, then it should stay as it is. I am sure adjustable links in the middle would be helpful. But so would hydraulic power angle. Be gentle because it mounts up to your rear end. Haban blades mount to the frame. Tread lightly and is should last for a while.

That's what I was thinking too. At first I figured since they have rear plows mounting to the same point I should be fine. But with a rear blade you have to first run over what your plowing. Front plow could hit lots of things before you realize it. The rear mounting points mount to the frame but it's still got the rear end connected too. The most I'll use it for is some snow in a two car driveway. Or I'll just not use it and get a snowblower instead.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
