421U111 deck on a 129?
I managed to pick up a nice deck today off a 104 cub today. The guy was stripping all the stuff off the tractor to make a puller.I got the deck and the mule drive for 20 bucks plus the belts.Does any one know if I can make this work on my 129. I know the mule drive wont fit but wondering if my mule drive on my 129 will.Looking at the difference couldnt see a lot other than width of the mule drives and the angle on the one pulley. My 44c deck that came with the 129 needs a lot of attention. If this would work it will give me time to rework the 44c like it needs.Any and all replys welcome....Thanks in advance Randy

I think the deck will work on your 129...it does not hurt to try! It will take a different PTO belt I think...but before I'd buy a belt, I stick the 42 under the 129 and do a mock fit.

I am not sure what the difference is , Mine is a 422U1111 and it is under the 149. If it looks something like this it ought to work.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
